Julie Mason is veteran Washington journalist and one of the smartest observers of power in this town. I first met Julie years ago, when I was a cub reporter at the Washington Examiner and she was covering the White House. Today, she hosts her own daily show on SiriusXM POTUS from 3pm to 6pm.

Julie has another, less traditional skill: she reads tarot cards. And not as a gimmick. Political players from across Washington quietly come to her to see what the future might hold. I’m one of them.

We last spoke in June, so before the new year I checked back in with her to look ahead at the shifting balance of power—and the fate of figures like Donald Trump, JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Elon Musk, Gavin Newsom, and Kamala Harris.

Last time we talked, Julie pulled cards for Elise Stefanik and delivered a blunt verdict: “death of her hopes and dreams.”

Since then, Stefanik has announced she’s retiring from Congress and abandoning her bid for governor of New York.

Julie also made another eerie prediction back in June—that Republicans would be rocked by a scandal of their own making.

Was she talking about Epstein? It certainly sounds that way.
