Thinking about what? You are scaring me. Did she convince you about anything? If so, God help you.

Thanks Michael: I stand corrected. After I posted I researched Tara's guest and I just quit thinking. Thanks again

Here's a question for you Al. Do you still hold the US in high regard, even after electing trump TWICE? I'll give you my unsolicited take. I am a retired federal employee. I did 5 tours overseas for her. I have loved my country as long as I can remember. No matter the chaos in life, my country was always there for me as a safe haven. I now feel like a rudderless ship, adrift and lost at sea. I am questioning that love now. And it's not even about the administration; it's about the 77 million that voted for this man the second time. We have truly lost our way. Even our friendship with Canada is gone. I grew up in Northern Minnesota where Canadians were our friends and neighbors. Why are we where we are now?

As a farmer (corn and soybeans, hard hit by the regimes policies) I DO NOT WANT a check from Trump ( and you know he is looking for a way to sign his name to those checks). I want free and fair competition - not a bailout because that Know-Nothing thinks he knows how to run a government.

I am a farmer from Idaho and I cannot agree with you enough

The last thing I want is a handout

Yes tariffs have ruined our markets but haven't they also effected other businesses such as retail, manufacturing, groceries the list goes on but we (farmer's) are the only ones getting relief. What the Fudge!

12 billion could go along ways to offset health insurance premiums that are going up 114% or gong towards lost snap payments for people that are truly hungry

You did not mention that in Trump's first term he gave us 26 billion

And they wonder why we drink!

I'd like to see her on your show but sharing the debate stage with Steve Schmidt of THE Warning. Now that could be interesting.

Or Elizabeth Warren or AOC would make for a good chat. Who is she? What’s her background? An Iraqi like Alina Habba?

This is why you leave the economic explanations to the big boys. If you don’t understand you might want to avoid these topics.

Thanks Tara, interesting to hear Batya’s defence of Trump. I can’t quite picture a silver spoon , grifter, Casino owner as a Socialist.

Thanks Tara: After doing a bit of research on your guest. I don't agree at all with her take on the issues facing the US. I'm glad you had her on .

Do you know why Trump is now considering a $12.5 billion bailout for soybean farmers? Because his “smart” idea of imposing 143% tariffs on China backfired. And what did the Chinese do? They stopped buying U.S. soybeans altogether and turned to Brazil and Argentina, where they could import at much lower prices without those absurd tariffs—pushing many American farmers toward bankruptcy.

And that $12.5 billion doesn’t even cover a third of their losses.

“Make America Great Again” doesn’t happen this way.

Thanks Michael: My admiration is fading but I just sense the majority of the American folks are decent thoughtful people. Yes I can understand the rudderless ship feeling. Being a Canadian I am quite upset and nervous about Mr. Trumps rant about annexing Canada, invading Greenland and others. It was one of my American friends who set me straight about Tara's guest. This whole administration of Trump's are fascist Nazis. The Supreme Court is bought and paid for. I'm a bit upset with those who didn't vote in the last general election. I hoped Harris would of taken the helm last election. I feel the Heritage Foundation cabal are really running the agenda. I only wish I could say or write something to help. I still keep my southern friends close. I will not turn tail.

I recommend watching an old CD of actúa actuality “ Day Without a Mexican.

It shows a simple truth: America depends on the hard work of immigrants—decent people whose only “crime” was seeking freedom and a better future for their children, just like past all past generations did.

If she is an economist, she overlooks basic facts: Trump’s protectionism acts as a tax on working- and middle-class consumers, raising prices across the board. Free trade enriches nations; it doesn’t impoverish them. And the idea of mass “re-shoring” by multinationals is a myth—global supply chains don’t relocate on command.

Trump also broke major promises. Health-insurance costs soared, and his pledge to deport only violent criminals became a campaign of fear that separated families, including legal migrants. Yet immigrant labor sustains key sectors of the U.S. economy—jobs many white Americans refuse to do.

Trumpism exposes an ideology rooted in racial exclusion. Its so-called “Christian nationalism” masks a white-supremacist worldview, reflected in Amnesty International’s findings of widespread abuses against Latino communities. This type of ethnic scapegoating is how authoritarian movements begin.

The U.S. is a nation of immigrants, yet Trump blames 53 million of them for the country’s problems while ignoring that most mass shootings and violent crimes are committed by white Americans. No surprise that over 60% of Americans are dissatisfied with the economy under his policies.

Recent elections suggest the MAGA movement is weakening. Voters are showing fatigue with an authoritarian, xenophobic leader.

I am quite familiar with this guest having seen her several times on a couple of different forums. What do I think of her? Lovely, unfailingly polite woman who on many topics knows her stuff inside and out. Also a massive Zionist and I suspect that’s where a lot of her support for Trump stems from though not sure she’d admit it. Would I like to see her appear here again? Absolutely, she and Ms. Palmeri got on very well and twas a pleasant and engaging discussion (though went off the rails on economics here and there). Just try me, Tara Palmeri. You can have Pinhead from Hellraiser on the show and everyone in this comments section will be like ugh why’d ya platform Pinhead from Hellraiser he’s so hideous and evil? But I’ll be like well even taking into consideration that he spends much of his time harvesting souls I thought Pinhead from Hellraiser had a few really strong points here and there.

Great conversation with Batya. She is great and I catch her on Abby Phillip's CNN show and I've been meaning to catch her NewsNation show. I learned something about her - that she considers herself a Leftist. Great questions, Tara, on her views on Trump's tariffs and the $12 billion farmer bailout. Loved it!
