He said that he is not opening the Strait of Hormuz and that it’s basically somebody else’s problem. That was the main meaningful thing that he said.
IMO the only way the US could meet its objectives in Iran was with tactical nukes. This speech indicates he is not going that route. Instead he will bomb Iran a little longer, declare victory, and then leave. Other countries will have to deal with the aftermath and try to clean up the mess.
He also said that the US has all the cards. He forgets that the US military is wholly funded with borrowed money.
