The way I look at this is... Those around Biden propped him up; they shouldn't have. Those around Trump are propping him up: they shouldn't be.
Democrat politicians / candidates seeking office in 2026 and 2028 need to convey to voters a high degree of integrity and remind voters that it is the hypocritical Republican politicians, especially in Congress, who attacked Democrats for propping up Biden, but refuse to remove the malignant narcissist, demented, sociopath who is totally out-of-control by impeaching, convicting, and removing him from Office.
Who shouldn’t speak? Jill? Why on earth not? ANYONE can SPEAK for God’s sake. Not speaking is what got us into this mess in the first place. I do however agree Democrats need to address this- if there is an overriding belief that it hasn’t already been beaten to death- and continue onward w abject focus on supporting a strong leader(s) to get rid of the Devil Incarnate himself. Continuing to punish the party for those who didn’t openly criticize Biden and those around him is getting us exactly WHERE right now?? Jesus people. When I read Jill’s thoughts as she listened to her husband struggle in the most publicly horrifying place and manner, I immediately felt a deep pang in my heart and throat and thought “oh my God, that’s exactly what I’d have thought”. Her sharing of her own extreme depth of love and abiding fear is a gift to readers and frankly none of our damn business in the first place. It’s honesty. It’s vulnerability. Does anyone get THAT? So we can turn it around and run with it like it’s some kind of incredible thesis on the entire Democratic Party or admit there was a major F up and do all we can to right our fast sinking Titanic.
Democrat rank and file should have demanded the resignation of the DNC leadership after the election loss. They should still demand it after the 2 year self study that was tossed in the trash because they could gloss over the end of the Biden presidency and the disastrous election. Trump is seemingly doing everything in his power to cause a blue wave and the DNC is doing everything in their power to ensure that does not happen. I wish every non-MAGA republican and every democrat would declare themselves independent voters, and vote accordingly.
