George Clooney’s ‘Morning Joe’ Meltdown
Exclusive: Author Chris Whipple on the Biden campaign’s final days
Welcome back to The Red Letter. For all of my subscribers, it’s no shock to learn that Elon Musk’s days in the Trump White House are numbered. I reported three weeks ago in “Fear and Loathing in the West Wing,” that there was boiling resentment towards Musk. He was supposed to stay for 130 days as a special government employee, but he may not make it to 100, according to POLITICO.
“The staff is happy that the distractor-in-chief is going to move on,” a former Trump administration official told me. “He was never going to be permanent, but his impact will be.”

Donald Trump’s thoughts as the Biden campaign collapsed through conversations with his previous campaign manager Paul Manafort, who despite being convicted, had a much larger role on the second Trump campaign than previously reported.
How Kamala Harris was strategically preparing for Biden to step down, even as he kept her in the dark.
But one of the most stunning moments in the book is George Clooney’s reaction to Mika Brzezinski when she stated on Morning Joe that Barack Obama authorized him to write the damning New York Times op-ed that urged Biden to step down. The typically cool Clooney lost it.
Whipple writes:
At 10:05 a.m., after Morning Joe had wrapped, one of the show’s producers walked into his Manhattan apartment. His phone started buzzing and he answered. The voice was familiar.
“How the fuck
