I didn't know you were on live until I checked my email and caught the last three minutes. Just watched the replay and I enjoyed the education. I have always known about Radio Free Europe from the days of the Iron Curtain but frankly had not thought about it recently.
While VOA is substantively relevant and important, I think this speaks to a broader problem. Whether it is the work of USAID or VOA, once something is broken and defunded, how does the next administration try to fix it? Does all of the good will it has created remain? How do you restore the institutional knowledge that is likely permanently lost?
These discussions are so insightful Tara.
I'm glad you think so!
It was a great discussion and great interview. I didn’t not know anything about Voice of America. I wish I seen it live!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
