Totally agree about the over sexualization of young girls in the 2000's. It has been said it was a reaction to the second wave of feminism that run up into the 90s. As someone who worked in a LOT of restaurants shit was off the chain.

Yes! We really asserted our power in the 90s. I’m not sure you’re old enough to remember year of the woman. But we also rose up against being called slurs for having sex and tried to own our sexual capital. Can’t be having that.

I don’t know why truth isn’t considered good news. The truth hurts, but I think it is good. Good news day is any day that isn’t lies and gaslighting. Thanks for this talk. It made my day because it is good to listen to good people do good work. And that is good news.
